About

ReImagined by Luna is a Lexington, Kentucky studio where maker Melissa Oesch handcrafts one-of-a-kind journals, sketchbooks, and bags from reclaimed and upcycled leather and textiles. Melissa began bookbinding in 2005 and has developed a deeply personal practice rooted in her love for reflective writing, natural textures, and the meditative quality of working slowly by hand.

Growing up on a wooded farm in Eastern Kentucky, Melissa spent her early years equally among trees and journals — an upbringing that remains central to her aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from nature, ancient spiritual traditions, and anything whimsical, she is largely self-taught and continuously experiments with techniques that breathe new life into reclaimed materials. Each piece is genuinely one of a kind.

ReImagined by Luna can be found at the Kentucky Crafted Market and other regional shows, on Etsy, and at reimaginedonline.com.
