About

Kazwoodcraft is a Lexington, Kentucky woodworking studio run by Dave Kacmarcik, who learned to work with wood from his father, grandfather, and brothers and has been crafting with his hands nearly his entire life. Originally from Cleveland, Dave moved to Lexington in the 1970s and began selling his work in 2005, encouraged by his wife to share what had always been a deeply personal craft.

Kaz Woodcraft specializes in handmade wooden toys for young children, built from hardwoods including walnut, maple, and cherry. Every toy is finished with food-safe mineral oil and non-toxic water-based acrylic paint, with child safety at the center of every decision. The toys carry a warm, inviting quality that often ends up delighting adults as much as the children they’re made for.

Kaz Woodcraft toys are available at Lexington craft markets and at kazwoodcraft.square.site.
