Laura Hallock is a Lexington-based glass artist who has been creating stained glass, fused glass, and lampworked beads since taking her first class in 1983 — and has never lost the passion. Inspired by the geometric precision of Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass work, she builds each leaded panel piece by piece, like a puzzle resolved into art. Her studio has welcomed hundreds of students over the decades, and its logo still carries the same iris motif she chose for her very first project. A Kentucky Crafted–certified artist since 1990, Hallock also holds an architectural glass profile with the Kentucky Arts Council.
