Jim Jones is a Nicholasville-based blacksmith who has been hand-forging steel since 2000, drawing daily inspiration from life on a small horse farm in Jessamine County. What began as a hobby grew into Forge On Metalworks, whose ornamental and functional pieces — wine racks, fireplace accessories, stair railings, and horse-inspired works — are sold at premiere Kentucky craft shops and have been featured in The Hammer's Blow, the journal of the Artist Blacksmiths Association of North America. Jones also teaches blacksmithing and gives demonstrations across the state.
