Cricket Press
About
Cricket Press is a Lexington, Kentucky illustration and printmaking studio founded by Brian Turner and Sara Turner in 2003. Working from a home studio, the two built one of the region’s first and most celebrated hand-printed poster operations — creating screen-printed and letterpress concert posters for hundreds of bands, from indie rock and free jazz to bluegrass and punk, as well as for major events including the Railbird Festival.
Over more than two decades, Cricket Press has become a fixture in Lexington’s creative scene, designing logos, illustrations, and T-shirt graphics for local institutions including West Sixth Brewing and Kentucky for Kentucky. Sara also writes and illustrates comics under the name Tiny Ghost Stories, drawing on childhood nostalgia, outdoor adventure, and the feeling of being lost in the woods. Brian, a native of Frankfort, and Sara, from Lexington, both studied at the University of Kentucky.
Cricket Press prints, posters, cards, and seasonal goods are available at Kentucky craft markets and on Etsy at cricketpress.
