Craft Crochet and Candle is a home-based studio in Lexington, KY run on a motto borrowed from animal rescue: "Adopt don't shop." The idea is that each crocheted creation is looking for a forever home — a framing that turns a simple handmade toy into something with a little more story behind it.

The studio makes amigurumi-style crochet creatures: bears, rabbits, foxes, aliens, caterpillars, and seasonal characters that change with the year. The work is colorful and character-driven, with a distinct folk-art sensibility and a consistent sense of whimsy. In addition to crochet, the studio also makes mugs and other small handmade goods.
